What I can gather from Cedar Crossing is that it definitely
has it’s moments of being very illustrative, when it comes to the places that
it wants to be taken place at. It
takes place in Dallas. It’s
basically about this college boy, who keeps on visiting his grandparents. He specifically comes to visit his
grandpa every couple of weeks just so his grandpa can keep on telling his story
about the old times and how racism was the worst in those days. But the book called “On Doing Local
History” was basically based on the United States. It originally was also all about the racism at first but
then came to be some stuff that was really great. This book is the on-going about the every little historical
thing that happened to us in the United States. In a sense, it felt like I was back in a history class like
three years ago, which I really don’t like to be in cause I can never really
ever remember important dates or facts when it comes to the history of our
great states.
